The world is on a stand-still,

And so am I.

While the clock is ticking,

In my bedroom I lie.

Worrying about my future,

Worrying about my fate,

Have I handed in my essay?


Oh, I handed it in late!

Quick! Type it up, submit it, stat!

Worrying until the day is done;

Where’s the fun in that?





So off I trot,

To my family.

My parents, my siblings and, of course, me!

Frantic thoughts gently float away,

Deep into the night and into the next day.


A never ending spiral,

Everyday is just the same.

But I keep it all together,

For at the end of the day

It’s just a game.









So then,

Begin again…
