JASMINE CHIU

//I thought I knew.
Thought I knew what the world was made up of.
Yes,there’s always been conflict, confusion, mishaps, and brawl, but still,
I thought I knew.
Packaged in a sphere so familiar
Something I could hold and have the privilege of watching
Yet, We’ve all been forced to step away,
Only to realize it’s everywhere.
The structure was all an illusion,
Its complexity bleeds so deeply around us.
And now,
Only now,
Do I really see you.
Enlarged, and vibrating,
Contagious:
Touch you, I can’t.
But your pain,
I see.
And I feel.
I’m ready to dismantle,
To rebuild.//
